Month of January: The New Life
"Why did Christ say that the flesh counts for nothing? This is because the flesh does absolutely nothing for the new man, but on the contrary it curbs his growth by spirit and always pulls him down to earth by his desires and lusts. Therefore it became a detestable weight for the new man, who seeks and perseveres according to spirit, trying to sway him from living by spirit."
