For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted (Hebrews 2:18)

"This aid is not from a distance; but it is from inside the trial.  Christ says to the sinner: I know your sin, I carried it with you without you knowing it, its weight on you is a weight on me, and its bitterness in your throat is a bitterness in my throat, and I kept your tears on it. You are in me and your sin became mine, trust and be of courage, I am with you."
