"The weapon of persistence and patience in tribulation is humility. St. Paul experienced this when he suffered from a suffocating tribulation and severe depression. He had no comfort but he said "God who comforts the humble comforted us" 2 Corinthians 7:6. He also believed that tribulations, though heavy, can never outweigh the glory prepared for it in return. Whoever believes in this will find out that tribulations are a source of strength not weakness."
