Testifying for God (John 15:27)
This is an excerpt of the daily devotionals I translate from Arabic from the Book "The Bible in reality of our life" for the late Father Matta El Meskeen.
It is impossible for the Holy Spirit to testify to Christ, in the works of man and sayings, except through self denial, thus God at the end is the all in all. The man who denies himself for God fortunately does not get lost nor remain alone in a vaccum, but enters immediately into the sphere of the Power of Christ and the Cross and the mystery of divine sacrifice.

Let everyone examine himself to see which one of the roots of sin the self is feeding on, for surely this is the root cause of their sickness and decay of conscience. Each sin is sufficient, sooner or later, to put out inside the heart the sources of love, light and truth.

"In me you may have Peace" (John 16:33)
Today I am sending out a personal reflection on Christ' Peace in midst of a storm.
Christ did not say that "you may have peace"; He emphasized "In me you may have Peace." He is the Prince of Peace and without Him we will never have Peace. Are you in midst of a storm or defeated before the tribulation of doubt, sadness or depression? Who would you turn to for Peace? Go to Him, and only Him, because having peace does not depend on your circumstances or how intense the tribulation is, or even the rsolution, but it is based on His promise and on Him being in control , all-powerful to fulfill it. Be at Peace.

The sacred anger bursts from the Spirit in the heart, whereas man's anger flows from a hurt to his pride. He will not speak on His own (John 16:13)

The Holy Spirit gives us to see Christ and understand His work in a picture of glory, even on the Cross, which we cannot see with the human eye nor understand with the human mind. In fullness of the Holy Spirit, I see myself, in full confidence and evidence, that I have been crucified with Christ, resurrected with Christ and that with Christ I dwell in Heaven.
God Bless

If you are really thirsty, the Lord calls you to quench your thirst from the well of His Love. The Holy Spirit has a complementary action with Christ; Christ waters to fullness and the Holy Spirit bursts rivers of the living water from the man's belly.

Unity of Spirit through Bond of Peace

The man in the Holy Spirit forgoes his individuality and unites with others through the action of love, and love pours out of the Holy Spirit in the heart open for others. The individual who is open to others through love is a testimony for attaining the fullness of Christianity, and being open to the enemies is a testimony for attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Filled with the Holy Spirit

The true prayer is where we are present with God, and have a dialogue with Him in trust, joy and concord. The Holy Spirit certainly will befall during this prayer to be an intercessor on our behalf. "Do you want to feel comfortable? Do you want to feel peacefull and your heart overflowing with joy and cheerfullness? Do you seek to find strength and your soul to rise up in heaven? Then be filled with the Spirit. Prayer is the way to be filled, in prayer our souls are joined with the Spirit of God as prayer is one of the works of the Holy Spirit. If we are filled with prayer, we are filled with the Spirit of God. Christ repeatedly asked of you; until now you have not asked anything in His name! Be of courage, ask so your joy is complete. What is the complete joy? it is being completely filled of the Spirit."

If we willingly submit our life and body to the Holy Spirit to manage and lead, we are led by the Spirit of God and the Spirit guides us to know the Truth."

"The Christian man cannot love his neighbor, and subsequently it is impossible to have the strength to love his enemy, only by pretending to have the will and determination for that. He must first love God with all the heart, the intellect, the soul and the strength; thus there is no love left for the self to enjoy and glorify. At this point, the Christian man will no longer love others out of his love nor from his self, but out of the flowing Love of God freely given to those who deserve it and those who do not, for the neighbor as well as the enemy."
