Do nor merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says (James 1:22)

Month of August: The Life of the Word and Prayer.  May God use this blog to bless your life with His Word.
This is an excerpt of the daily devotionals I translate from Arabic from the Book "The Bible in reality of our life" for late Father Matta El Meskeen.

"The one who asks to read the Bible in fact he asks for the eternal life and the one who asks for the eternal life has to decide where he stands from the present life."

Dear reader: please share your reflections.  Have a blessed day!
God Bless

  1. I am not sure about what do you mean by saying: the one who asks for the eternal lief has to decide where he stands from the present life. would you please explain it more for me. Thanks

  2. Since the reader of the bible asks for eternal life, he should decide how he applies the word of Bible in present life i.e. the Bible says don't worry for tomorrow, the world says save and possess to insure tomorrow; the bible says if slapped on the right cheek, the world says get evened with for your digniy. It is a discerning choice in everything we do and say for the account of the eternal life. I hope this helps clarify the context. God bless
